Our beloved Philip sadly died on Thursday 18th April, aged 71 years...
He was well known in Shipston as he spent his life living in and on the outskirts of our lovely town. He spent many years working as a local Postman and after retiring he spent his free time gardening.
His funeral will take place at St. George's Church, Brailes on Friday 10th May at 11.00 a.m. All who knew him are welcome.
The service will be webcast and available to watch again for 7 days. Please see the details below.

There will be some off-road parking available at The Village Hall, The Catholic Church car park in Friar's Lane and at The George Hotel.
A private burial will take place in Brailes Cemetery, attended by Phil's family. While the burial takes place, please feel free to pop into The George Hotel before joining the family at Shipston Sports Club, London Road, Shipston.

What a wonderful brother to have, always such a happy smiling gentleman who we all looked up to. A man who had so much love to share with family and friends. I will miss his cheery smile.
Facetime was always our thing as i live away in Wales. Our chats about his next crochet animal, discussing the best way to create rabbit ears, or foxes tails, even how to do my elephant's trunk on a bag he made me for Christmas 2019.
He always looked out for us younger siblings, I don't think i will ever feel whole again, till we meet again Phil. Love you always (Jacqueline) if he was being serious, but always Jackie, Eddie and Harleydog.
Mrs Jackie Wakeham
Know, you are all in our thoughts and prayers. We loose a one of a kind character, with a big heart who loved all his family and heaven gains an Angel to watch down on you all and keep you safe. We won't be able to make it to the funeral, due to work, but we will be thinking of you all. Very much love Louise, Edward and the Weston family xx

Our last five minutes together (Thursday 11th April 2024) - by Shirley
We shed some tears, we let them fall, we held tight, clasped hands, as we agreed future plans. We made new promises that we could keep, with tears falling upon our cheeks. You said you were not ready, as there were still thing to do and wanted to do this without further ado and now our hearts are broken too. As you left us, long before you were due, we said we'd always be together, now you're gone. I love and miss my brother.
We were a family that always played together, We are a family that will always be together.
Those who play together, will stay stay together.
Love you always Shirley & Lawrence xxxx
