Douglas Roy England was born on 4 March 1943 and died peacefully on 10 February 2025 aged 81 years.
He leaves behind his wife Sue, children Sally, Simon, Tim & Lucy, and their partners Andrew, Sally, Ruth and Lloyd together with 9 wonderful grandchildren: Tom, Olivia, Emily, Joe, James, Matthew, Daniel, Sophie and Emma.
He lived a full life, mostly doing things his way and never really being beholden to the rules. Life was his adventure and although the last few years meant he could not live it the way he would have liked, he never stopped trying.
The family would like to thank everyone who has supported them over the last few years and welcome all family, friends and colleagues to his funeral which will be held in the North Chapel at Oakley Wood Crematorium on Thursday 13 March at 12 Noon.
By request family flowers only please but any donations to Myton Hospice would be warmly appreciated as they cared for him so well in his last few days, or to the Salvation Army for whom he had a long standing respect throughout his life may be left in the retiring collection at the service or made by clicking the ‘Donate’ button below.

We are leaders in compassionate end of life care; our work centres on patient wellbeing and involving them in decisions about their care. Perhaps most importantly we give our patients more quality time with their loved ones.
