St. Edmund's Church
St Edmund’s is the parish church in the market town of Shipston. We are a church that offers a warm welcome to people of all backgrounds, at all stages of their faith journey. Some of us have been Christians for many years, others would not call themselves Christians. We offer space to worship, explore the Christian faith and ask questions. Services are relaxed and friendly, and there is a children’s area for young children. Our services have a chance to get to know people in the refreshments afterwards. The church has loos, disabled access, baby changing and a hearing loop. There are weekday bible studies, a food bank and a wide variety of worship styles during the month. Café church is specially designed for the new and curious. As the parish church, St Edmund’s has strong links with the community and provides space for civic celebrations and services. We work closely with our sister churches from other denominations in the town with events for families and a holiday club in the first week of the summer holidays every year.
We are pleased to be listed on the Inclusive Church list - communities of faithful Christians where all people, regardless of their sexuality or gender, can find a warm welcome, a place to belong and to believe, to worship and to pray.
