The Right Reverend Dr. Anthony John Russell

E OOS 3 web.jpg(Tony), retired Bishop of Ely, died peacefully at Seccombe Court Care Home, aged 82 years, on Wednesday 9th July 2025 after a long illness, courageously borne.

Beloved husband of Sheila, much loved father of Alexandra, Jonathan, Serena and Tim and proud grandfather of nine. He will be sadly missed by family, friends and all who knew him.

Anthony's funeral service will take place at All Saints' Church, Cuddesdon, on Thursday 14th August, 2:00 p.m.

Family flowers only.

Donations in memory of Anthony are to be divided between 'The Progressive Supranuclear Palsy Association' and 'Parkinson's UK (Oxford Branch)' via the 'Donate' button below.

Monies collected in the retiring collection are to benefit 'All Saint's Church, Cuddesdon'.
