Shipston Home Nursing

Your ‘Hospice at Home’ for patients and their families facing incurable illnesses

We are a local Charity founded in 1997 with the purpose of caring for patients with illnesses which do not respond to curative treatment and who wish to be nursed at home.  Our Nursing Services are managed through a team of Registered General Nurses specialising in palliative care supported by Health Care Assistants. We care for the patient and their family, in their own homes throughout the period of their illness.

Our service covers Shipston, Wellesbourne, Kineton and the surrounding villages and  is completely free of charge.

We depend on the ongoing generosity of our supporters and donors to ensure that this free community service, continues to provide high quality nursing care to families facing terminal illness, with the required expertise and support.

We are extremely grateful for the ongoing support we receive from the community we serve.

Shipston First Responders

We are a volunteer group which responds to 999 calls in partnership with West Midlands Ambulance Service. The idea being that a First Responder can arrive on scene and begin immediate treatment if necessary until a conventional ambulance service vehicle arrives.

Shipston First Responders help West Midlands Ambulance Service get trained, experienced care to a patient very rapidly. Shipston First Responders volunteers are based in and around the town and can usually respond to an emergency call within 5 minutes which can be vital considering the town’s rural location.

The team is often first on the scene, and has saved lives in cardiac arrest situations. The team aims to provide a service 24 hours, 7 days a week and is always looking for more volunteers.

SFR is funded entirely from donations and grants. All of the people delivering this vital service are volunteers, helping others in their own time, and at their own cost.

Swft Charity

SWFT Charity enhances equipment and services across South Warwickshire NHS Foundation Trust.

We believe that every member of the community who uses our services deserves the best possible care. That’s why we endeavour to cover the cost of the extras, above core NHS funding, that give our hard-working staff the opportunity to deliver the very best care possible in the most comfortable settings. Whether it’s bright and welcoming décor in a waiting area, state of the art medical equipment or entertainment for our inpatients, SWFT Charity is here to help.

But we can’t do it without you, so if you can help us to sprinkle some magic on our services, please donate today.
