Messages of condolence

Happy memories of walking with Gill having met in Patagonia. We completed the TMB in The Alps and had some great walks in The Lakes, Snowdonia, the Brecon Beacons and The Chilterns. And Gill, I will complete those days on the South Downs Way…

Such a very sad and difficult time for you and your family James. I only knew Gill for a relatively short time, but she was always active and busy. I am sad that I will not be able to join you for the funeral, but I will be thinking of you all and will always remember Gill.

So sorry I can't be at Gill's funeral but hoping that everything goes ok. Gill is the second friend we have lost to this cruel cancer and hopefully research will help to find ways to detect earlier diagnosis. Christine Broadhurst

Ms Mary Moore

Sending love to James and all the family at this sad time. Gillian was my walking mate and a fun friend. We led walks together with our group and became good friends. We had walking holidays together and lots of meets for cake and coffee! Gillian often spoke about her many adventures and her family. She certainly had a great life and lived it to the full. Thank you Gillian for choosing me as your friend. I will miss you xx
